The Printers Plate
Operation. Café and Take-Away
The Printers Plate, a stones throw from St Pauls Cathedral is a cool café and sandwich shop, being formed within the premises of an old printers' shop, hence the name. A very small site that will primarily be a take-away operation, the spatial planning of the unit was critical to allow an effective flow of customers through the busy lunch time trading periods.
With a brief to provide a really relaxed, warm and inviting environment, we have developed a style strong on natural materials (exposed brick, oak chevron flooring, white marble counter tops) set against an eclectic mix of old industrial lighting, reclaimed furniture and 30’s pendant lights. With a colour palette of warm reds set against blues and natural materials, the look certainly matches the brief and we can’t wait to see it complete early in the new year.
